Missi Roti

Missi Roti is an Indian bread made with gram flour and wheat flour.


  1. Gram flour (besan) 1cup
  2. Whole wheat flour (atta) 1 cup
  3. Semolina(rava/Suzi)1/4cup
  4. Carom seeds (ajwain) 1/2 tsp
  5. Green chilies chopped
  6. Hing a pinch
  7. Ginger chopped
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Fresh coriander leaves chopped
  10. 1tablespoon ghee/oil
  11. Yoghurt 1 tbsp


  1. Take gram flour, rava and whole wheat flour in a bowl. Add carom seed, green chilies,  salt,  coriander leaves ,ginger ,Hing,  yogurt , ghee and  mix well. Add sufficient water and knead.
  2. Cover and rest the dough for about fifteen minutes. Divide into  equal portions and roll into balls. Further roll each portion into a roti.
  3. Heat a tawa and roast the rotis.

Serve hot with a dollop of butter or ghee.

Serve these missi roti with Kadhi Pakora ,Palak Paneer ,Dal Makhni ,Dum Aloo ,Matar Mushrooms ,Sarso saag  ,paneer tikka masala , louki sabzi ,  sabut moong or any other vegetable of your choice.
