First Blog Anniversary

First Blog anniversary

The whole credit of my blog goes to my family. I could share all these recipes because my mother and mother in-law taught me. I learnt few recipes from my friends. My three boys also supported me.😘 Till now I have 153 posts and 14745 views, 14000 likes on posts and 1223 comments, 405 followers and 441 likes on facebook page. I want to thank all my friends , readers and followers for their kind support . It has been a wonderful blogging year with you . I look forward to many more to come. So here is the small treat for you all. Enjoy these healthy sweets with me.

Apple Milkshake/ Holi Special

Wishing you all my friends and readers of gharkepakwan a very colorful Holi with colorful memories in advance.

Holi is the festival of colors. Apple milkshake is a healthy beverage ready in no time. So lets celebrate this year Holi with this healthy milk shake.


  1. 2 small apples or 1 big size apple
  2. 2 glass chilled milk
  3. 2 to 3 tbsp sugar ( I used organic Brown sugar)


  1. Peel and chop the apples.
  2. Add them in the blender with sugar and 1/2 glass of chilled milk.
  3. Blend till smooth and add the remaining  chilled milk and blend again.
  4. Pour the apple milkshake in glasses garnished with some dry fruits or  you can also add some chopped apple. Serve immediately . Don’t keep in fridge to serve later .

Perfect recipe for fasting. It’s serves 4 glasses of milk shake.

Chilla Cum Paratha/ Gram flour Paratha

Chilla Cum Paratha/Gram Flour Paratha
This is the paratha in which we get besan taste with wheat paratha. This I learnt from my mother.



  1. Multigrain flour 2 cup
  2. Salt 1 tsp
  3. water


  1. Besan 1 cup
  2. 1 tsp carom seeds/ajwain
  3. 1 tsp salt
  4. 1 tsp chopped ginger
  5. 1 chopped green chili
  6. 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  7. Coriander leaves


  1. Knead the dough.
  2. Mix all things together written under batter and make thick batter.
  3. Now roll chapati , put on tawa .
  4. Flip it and apply besan batter over it and add some drops of oil.
  5. Now turn that side of chapati to tawa .
  6. Flame should be low. Apply oil on both sides to make it crispy.
  7. Serve your chilla cum paratha with pickle,chutney or yogurt.
