Eggless Whole wheat Chocolate Waffles

This waffle recipe is from the book which I got with my waffle maker. Original recipe used white flour which I changed it to wheat flour .

  1. 1 cup whole wheat flour
  2. 1/4 cup corn flour
  3. 1/4 tsp baking powder
  4. 1 tbsp Choco powder
  5. 3 tsp sugar
  6. 1/4 cup melted butter/oil(I used coconut oil)
  7. 1  1/2cup milk
  8. a pinch of salt
  9. Maple syrup or honey to serve with waffles


  1. Sieve together wheat flour, corn flour ,choco powder ,salt and baking powder.
  2. Mix oil, sugar and milk together.
  3. Add the flour mixture and mix well to a smooth batter. The batter should have a consistency neither too thick nor watery.
  4. Heat your waffle maker.
  5. Pour 1 ladle of the batter in the center and close the lid of the waffle maker .The batter spreads itself .
  6. Wait for the green light to turn on .
  7. Serve hot waffles with honey.

Aloo Gobi Matar

Aloo gobi is very common recipe in Indian houses. It can be serves as a breakfast, lunch or dinner with chapatti  or paratha. Leftover veggie can be used in sandwiches.

  1. 1 cauliflower
  2. 2-3 potatoes
  3. 1 tsp chopped ginger
  4. 1 tsp chopped green chili
  5. 1 tbsp mustard oil
  6. 1 tsp cumin seeds
  7. Hing a pinch
  8. 1/2 cup green peas
  9. 1 tsp turmeric powder
  10. 1/2 tsp chili powder
  11. 1 tsp coriander (dhania) powder
  12. 1 chopped tomato
  13. salt to taste
  14. chopped coriander
  15. 1 tsp garam masala


  1. Heat the oil in a kadhai and add the hing and cumin seeds.
  2. When they splutter add the chopped  green chili, ginger and turmeric powder.
  3. Add chopped tomatoes.
  4. Add the cauliflower florets, peas , potatoes and salt.
  5. Mix all well and cover it.
  6. Cook on a low flame. Stir it in between till the potatoes and cauliflower is soft.
  7. Now switch off the flame . Add coriander powder,chili powder, garam masala.
  8. Serve hot and garnish with coriander leaves.

Oats Masala Pav / Oats Masala Buns

In the last few weeks I was very busy as I shifted from Malaysia to Indonesia that’s why I was not able to post my recipes regularly. Today I shared this healthy recipe  from my draft.


Serves 8 buns

  1. 1 cup multigrain flour
  2. 1 cup oats flour
  3. 1 tsp of instant yeast
  4. 1 cup of warm water(I used half milk and half water)
  5. 2 tbsp of olive oil
  6.  1 tsp of sugar
  7.  1/2 tsp of salt


  1. Take out flour in any utensil and  add sugar, instant dry yeast (there is no need to active instant dry yeast in lukewarm water), 1 tsp salt and 2 tsp oil in the flour and mix well.
  2. Add little amount of lukewarm mixture of milk and water in the dough at a time and prepare a soft dough like that used for making chapatti’s. Knead dough for about 4-5 minutes until it becomes soft. Grease the dough with little oil, cover it and keep it aside for 1 hour for fermenting.
  3. Meanwhile you can work on the stuffing. For the stuffing you can use any dry vegetables.
  4. So the peas, corn and potato stuffing I used is given below.
  5. Dough has fermented, now stuff the balls. Divide the dough and stuffing in 8 equal halves. Take one part in your hand and make a round ball. Flatten the ball with your hand and make a place in center. Fill the stuffing in the center and seal the stuffing from all sides. Flatten the ball.
  6. Grease the baking tray with oil and place the flatten ball on the tray. Like wise prepare all balls. Keep them aside for 1/2 an hour .
  7.  Now keep them in oven for baking. Set the oven temperature to 200 degree centigrade and cook for 30 minutes in oven. Check after 15 minutes.  Bake more if not cooked properly.
  8. After taking out from oven brush them with oil.

Stuffing for Masala Pav


  1.  4 boiled potatoes mashed
  2. 1/2cup  peas
  3. 1/2 cup corn
  4. Hand full of fresh coriander
  5. 1 tsp of chopped ginger
  6. 1 tsp of chopped green chili
  7. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  8. 1/2 tsp of Garam masala
  9. 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  10. 1 tsp amchur powder
  11. 1 tsp cumin seeds
  12. 1 tsp coriander powder
  13. Salt and pepper to taste
  14. 1 tsp of cooking oil

Method of stuffing

  1. In a wok, add the cooking oil, and let it heat. Over medium heat add in the cumin seeds, chopped ginger and chilies.
  2. Saute for a few seconds. Now add in the corn and peas. Let them cook.
  3. Add boiled potatoes and add  the  coriander powder,chili powder, garam masala, amchur, salt, and pepper.
  4. Taste the stuffing and adjust the flavours accordingly.
  5. Lastly add fresh coriander leaves. The stuffing is ready.

Serve it hot with coriander chutney.

First blog anniversary post.

Ferrero Rocher  of my style. Everyone likes chocolate and if it is Ferrero Rocher then it is difficult to control eating them. Same is the case in my house also all are a big fan of Ferrero Rocher . I tried to make my style Ferrero Rocher at home. I ground walnuts with brown sugar and made balls with out adding any oil or ghee. It didn’t look like Ferrero Rocher but these were tasty and healthy. Everyone at my house liked them.

I decorate them in one of my empty chocolate box and serve them by saying that these are new balls made by me. This is very easy method to feed healthy walnuts to your growing kids.

This is the healthy gift to my family from my side on my first blog anniversary.


  1. Walnut 250 gm
  2. Sugar 150 gm( I used brown sugar)
  3. Few Pistachio for garnish(optional)


  1. Grind walnuts and sugar together .
  2. Make balls by pressing them with hands.
  3. Roll them in chopped pistachio.
  4. Serve these healthy balls with milk or like this.
  5. Perfect dessert for fasting.

Chilla Cum Paratha/Gram Flour Paratha
This is the paratha in which we get besan taste with wheat paratha. This I learnt from my mother.



  1. Multigrain flour 2 cup
  2. Salt 1 tsp
  3. water


  1. Besan 1 cup
  2. 1 tsp carom seeds/ajwain
  3. 1 tsp salt
  4. 1 tsp chopped ginger
  5. 1 chopped green chili
  6. 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  7. Coriander leaves


  1. Knead the dough.
  2. Mix all things together written under batter and make thick batter.
  3. Now roll chapati , put on tawa .
  4. Flip it and apply besan batter over it and add some drops of oil.
  5. Now turn that side of chapati to tawa .
  6. Flame should be low. Apply oil on both sides to make it crispy.
  7. Serve your chilla cum paratha with pickle,chutney or yogurt.
