Rai Ki Mirch /Chili Pickle With Mustard Powder/No oil
This pickle recipe is with out oil.


  1. Green Chili 10-15
  2. Methi seeds 1 tbsp
  3. Sauf 2 tbsp
  4. Mustard seeds powder 1 tsp
  5. Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  6. Salt 2 tsp


  1. Wash and dry the chilis on kitchen towel.
  2. Remove the crowns. Slit them.
  3. Dry roast methi and sauf together and coarsely grind them.
  4. Mix all powders together.
  5. Now fill all the chilies with this mixture.
  6. Your chili pickle is ready. This pickle can be keep outside fridge for 1 week.
  7. Everytime I made this pickle in small batches so it will finish in 5-6 days
  8. if you want to add oil you  can add in the filling.
  9. Left over masala you can add in any veggie .

I have no wish other than to have you for the rest of my life.

Rabdi is a popular North Indian dessert made up of milk. In this we collect layers of malai on the side of pan. After that cut it and add it in rest of the milk. This is my grandmother’s recipe. In my childhood we always had cows in my home so we get lots of milk . When ever we had craving for dessert, my grand mother made this recipe.


  1. Full cream milk 1 and 1/2litre
  2. Few strands of saffron
  3. Sugar  6-7 tbsp
  4. cardamom Powder
  5. Dry fruits chopped


  1. Take a broad pan . Heat the milk on medium flame.
  2. Soak saffron in warm milk.
  3. Add saffron soaked milk.
  4. when you see cream on top ,move the layer on the side of the pan.
  5. Keep simmering the milk and collecting the cream on the side.
  6. This process of collecting cream will take around 1 hour.
  7. Once milk reduces to 1/4 add sugar and cardmom powder.
  8. Switch off the flame.
  9. Once its cool cut the layers of cream and add in the remaining milk.
  10. Add your favourites dry fruits and serve warm or chilled.
  11. This dessert is perfect for fasting.

First blog anniversary post.

Ferrero Rocher  of my style. Everyone likes chocolate and if it is Ferrero Rocher then it is difficult to control eating them. Same is the case in my house also all are a big fan of Ferrero Rocher . I tried to make my style Ferrero Rocher at home. I ground walnuts with brown sugar and made balls with out adding any oil or ghee. It didn’t look like Ferrero Rocher but these were tasty and healthy. Everyone at my house liked them.

I decorate them in one of my empty chocolate box and serve them by saying that these are new balls made by me. This is very easy method to feed healthy walnuts to your growing kids.

This is the healthy gift to my family from my side on my first blog anniversary.


  1. Walnut 250 gm
  2. Sugar 150 gm( I used brown sugar)
  3. Few Pistachio for garnish(optional)


  1. Grind walnuts and sugar together .
  2. Make balls by pressing them with hands.
  3. Roll them in chopped pistachio.
  4. Serve these healthy balls with milk or like this.
  5. Perfect dessert for fasting.

My kids don’t like oats with milk so I generally used oats in flour form. But one day when I went for my grocery shopping I find oats quaker packet in which it is written oats for rice so I get that packet and made my regular rice with oats. Here I am using both in equal quantity. You can increase or decrease measure of oats according to tour taste.

Now I am using my rolled oats in place of this packet.


  1. Rice basmati 3/4 cup
  2. Rolled Oats 3/4 cup
  3. Water 2 1/2 cup
  1. Wash and soak oats and rice for half an hour. Drain it.
  2. Add water , drained rice and oats in microwave safe bowl for 15 minutes at high temperature.
  3. Serve warm with any veggie or dal of your choice. I served here with masoor dal.
  4. Soon I am going to post oats fried rice.

Cumin seeds is a very common ingredient in our Indian kitchen. We use cumin seeds in almost every curry . It helps in digestion. Roasted cumin seeds can be added in any type of yogurts like lotus seed raita , buttermilk and chaat like these which I already shared Peanut masala, Sweet potato chaat, Roated chana , matar chaat, chickpeas salad, Roasted lotus seeds.

First I thought its a simple and very common recipe but shared with hope that it may be new for some of our friends.


Cumin seeds 100 gm


  1. Heat a pan add cumin seeds , roast in medium flame till dark brown and fragrant.
  2. Allow to cool a bit .Then roll it with a roller pin or can crush in mortar pestle.
  3. If want to make powder grindit  in a blender in a fine powder or a little coarse you want.
  4. Store in an air tight container.
